The best is yet to come.

It has been an incredible few weeks and I have so much to catch you up on! I have a big announcement and I keep putting off posting anything until it is all ready but I didn't want to go too long without a post so here it goes. I'm in the middle of a re-brand so in just a few short weeks I'll have a sparkly new logo, website, and blog! I'm super excited about it and am working on putting the final touches on everything so as soon as it is up for launch it will be bye bye blog (to this one) and hello new lovely site!

I have a few fantastic engagement shoots and wedding pictures to share along with details about the Dane Sanders workshop I just attended which was amazing! I'm looking forward to sharing all about it as soon as the new blog is up.

I'm so excited at everything in store for me personally and with my business, it is so exciting to know that it just keeps getting better.

So hold tight, it won't be long and I can't wait to share it all with you!

and because no blog post of mine would be complete without a picture, here is a recent one of me. It has been really windy here lately and this one makes me laugh!

Lindsay & John

This week has made me feel like such a wimp - I know it is wrong to complain about cold weather when other states are dealing with blizzards and such, but I've gotten so accustomed to living in warm weather all year round that I'm just not prepared for the 20-30 degree weather. Add on the fact that my toes feel like icicles even when it is 90 degrees outside, and you are dealing with some seriously icy toes! My thought is that if it is this cold we could at least have some snow to make it fun (minus the driving and shoveling and all the other bad snow activities) I just picture being a lot more happy with cold weather if I could go out in my back yard and build a little snowman.

Anyhow, word is that it is going to be back up in the 70's this week and all will be good with my temperamental toes. I'm sure as soon as it warms up I'll be wishing it was cold again, you never can be completely satisfied with these things!

So until I can pull out one of my good old sundresses and warm up my toes I'm snuggled up under two blankets editing away. Here are some pictures I'm just wrapping up from Lindsay and John's engagement shoot.

I just never get tired of feet shots. I have to say, this is one of my favorites to date.

Mama Linds

Meet Lindsay & John. Lindsay and I went to college together and lived together for part of our time there. She and John recently got engaged and we met up downtown last week to take some engagement pictures for them....

fast forward to today and I'm sitting here with a smile on my face thinking about her. In college we called her Mama Linds because she had the cure for everything. I remember once I had an awful cold that just wouldn't go away and she hand juiced fresh oranges for me for "fresh vitamin C". Unfortunately I came down with an awful stomach bug this morning (which I'm hoping is one of the 24 hour ones that has been going around instead of a long drawn out thing) and after chatting with her for a few minutes I got strict instructions to peel myself off of the couch and go to CVS.

Anyhow, she and John are always joking around together so I thought this was such a cute way of expressing that in a picture. I'll post some "serious" ones soon after I learn to take her advice and go to CVS for medicine.

She has always been a fantastic planner and is always prepared for everything so I know every little detail of their wedding is going to be fantastic.

Congratulations John, you are marrying the right lady!

Happy Holidays!

Although a few days belated I just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas - I hope it was fantastic and everyone got to spend time with the ones they love. This has been an incredible year of learning and change for me and I am so excited to see what next year holds. I am just so unbelievably thankful for everyone in my life who supports me, encourages me, and keeps me moving on in running after my passions with photography and life.

God has blessed me beyond belief this year and I'm so excited to see what unfolds this coming year. So to you and all of your loved ones from me and the ones I love (the picture above is of the ones I love the most - my fiance Jesse, his dog Molly, and of course, my favorite pair of red shoes!)... MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Good friends, good music, good life.

Friday night I had the pleasure of hearing a fantastic concert at a local venue here in St. Petersburg. A friend of mine has been following their music for quite some time now and invited me to come check it out and I am so glad I did.

There is just something about really good live music that is like hot chocolate to my soul on a cold night... there aren't quite words to explain the feeling it gives me but I just feel like everything is right with the world and life is so good. Anyhow, I thought I would share the beautiful music with you, along with a slideshow of pictures from a dear friend's wedding I had the privilege of photographing.

Here's to Heather & Ryan... and fantastic music.

Check out their slideshow here.

Check out Andy Zipf and his music here... if you ever have the opportunity to see him in concert GO! He is on tour right now with Damion Suomi and Lauris Vidal who are also very worth looking up.

Kristina & Eric - Engagement Session

Meet Kristina and Eric - an amazing, adorable and fun couple who are getting married in a few months. I drove over and spent the afternoon with Kristina and her mom and just fell in love with them both, they are so cute and stylish and have such a wonderful family. We started out with her bridal portraits - which I can't show you for obvious reasons, but I can say, she is going to make one breathtaking bride. Then her fiance Eric came and we did their engagement shoot at Bok Tower Gardens which is where they got engaged.

I am genuinely excited for their wedding and am so glad to have met them both. Here are a few shots from their session...

If you can't tell by now, I love shoes, and I love shoe shots... I had to include this one - look how fabulous her shoes are!

This is such a cool shot because the tree in it is right where he proposed!

about ME (and this blog)

I absolutely feel like one of the luckiest girls in the whole wide world. Photography makes me feel alive and getting to do it all of the time is unbelievable! One of my favorite parts about it is getting to know new families and couples so I started this blog so you all can learn more about me too and come along for the ride for some of my sessions.

Hope you enjoy!

Esther
